Patient Billing & Financial Policy
The following outlines our fees, payment policies, and cancellation policies. For an overview of care options, see Care Options & Investment.
Dr. Joy’s Rates
5-Month Comprehensive Care Program — New Adult Patients
- Paid in full: $2,500
- Payment plan: 3 monthly payments of $950 (total $2,850)
6-Month Continuing Care Program
- Paid in full: $1,500
- Payment plan: 2 monthly payments of $800 (total $1,600)
Other Consultations
- Additional follow-up consultation for active program patients: $275
- Pediatric initial comprehensive consultation: $600
- Follow-up visits for patients established prior to September 2026: $275
- Comprehensive returning-patient consultation (3+ years since last visit): $550
- Initial pet consultation: $350
- Follow-up pet consultation: $200
- Acute consultation: starting at $100; fee may vary depending on the nature and complexity of the consultation
Program Payment Plans
When a payment plan is selected, the patient is committing to the full program and total program fee. Payment plans are provided as an alternative method of paying the program fee and are not a month-to-month membership or subscription. Payments will be automatically charged according to the payment schedule selected at enrollment.
Program Cancellation & Refunds
Enrollment in a care program reserves clinical time and provides access to the services and support included in that program.
If you choose to discontinue a program before its scheduled completion, please notify our office in writing.
Any refund or remaining balance will be determined based on services already provided, appointments completed or forfeited under the cancellation policy, and other program services or support already utilized. Any amount determined to be refundable will be returned to the original method of payment when possible.
Patients enrolled through a payment plan remain responsible for amounts attributable to services and program benefits already provided prior to cancellation.
Program participation may also be discontinued by the practice when appropriate. Any financial reconciliation will be handled according to the same principles above.
Additional Expenses
Remedies, supplements, and laboratory testing are not included in consultation or program fees and are an additional cost.
Because naturopathic medicine is not currently licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, our services are not covered by health insurance.
Payment for Standalone Consultations
Standalone initial and comprehensive consultations are charged in full at the time of booking. Standalone follow-up consultations are charged to the card on file the day before the scheduled visit.
Program visits are included in the applicable program fee and are not separately charged unless an additional consultation outside of the included visits is scheduled.
Cancellations and No-Shows
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 business hours’ notice for virtual appointments and 48 business hours’ notice for in-person appointments.
For standalone/fee-for-service appointments: Late cancellations are subject to a $100 fee for initial or comprehensive consultations and a $50 fee for follow-up consultations. A no-show will be charged the full price of the scheduled visit.
For appointments included as part of a care program/package: A late cancellation is subject to a $50 cancellation fee; the included visit will remain available for rescheduling. A no-show will result in the included visit being considered used.
A valid credit card is kept on file to secure appointment times and may be charged for applicable cancellation or no-show fees.
Program Duration & Included Visits
The 5-Month Comprehensive Care Program is intended to be completed over five months. Included consultations are generally scheduled approximately monthly. Reasonable scheduling flexibility may be provided when necessary.
The 6-Month Continuing Care Program includes three follow-up consultations generally scheduled according to the patient’s individual needs during the six-month program.
AO bio-resonance support and other time-limited program benefits end when the applicable program period ends, regardless of whether scheduling flexibility has been provided for an unused consultation.
Additional consultations may be recommended and scheduled separately when a patient requires more frequent clinical support.
Supplements and Other Products
All supplement and product sales are final. We are unable to accept returns of supplements. Please contact the applicable supplement vendor directly regarding its return or replacement policies.
